2. Security and Hosting

SSL / TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser's address bar changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the padlock symbol in your browser bar.

Server log files

When you use the website for purely informational purposes (i.e. when you do not register or otherwise transmit information to us), we only collect the data that your browser transmits to our server (so-called “server log files”). This is technically necessary in order to display our website to you and to ensure stability and security (legal basis Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR):

  • Website visited
  • Time of access
  • Amount of data sent in bytes
  • Source/referrer from which you reached the page
  • Browser used
  • Operating system used
  • IP address used (where applicable: in anonymised form)

The data is not used to draw conclusions about your identity.

3. Cookies & Consent Management

Our website uses cookies. These are small text files that your web browser stores on your device. Cookies help us to make our service more user-friendly, effective and secure.

We distinguish between two categories:

  • Technically necessary cookies: These are strictly required for the website to function (e.g. for shopping-cart functions or security settings). They do not require consent.
  • Statistics & marketing cookies: These help us understand how visitors interact with the website, or serve to display relevant advertising. These cookies are only set with your express consent (cookie banner).

You can change or revoke your consent at any time via our cookie settings on the website. You can also configure your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies on a case-by-case basis.

4. Contacting Us

If you contact us via the contact form or by email, your details (name, email, telephone number, content of the enquiry) are stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of any follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent. The processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR (performance of pre-contractual measures) or our legitimate interest in responding to your request.

5. Online Reservation (Zenchef)

For online table reservations, we use the service “Zenchef” provided by Zenchef SAS. When you make a reservation, the following personal data is collected and processed:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • Reservation date and time
  • Number of people
  • Any special requests or comments

Use for marketing purposes

With your consent, we use your contact details (in particular email address and telephone number) to inform you about special offers, events and news from Greenvieh. You can revoke this consent at any time by sending an email to greenvieh@schwarz.at or via the unsubscribe link in our emails. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR (consent).

Credit card details (optional)

In certain cases, we optionally ask you to provide credit card details. These serve exclusively to safeguard against non-attendance (“no-show”) and are processed via a secure, PCI-DSS-compliant payment service provider. A charge is only made in the event of an unexcused failure to attend the reservation. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in safeguarding our service (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR) or the performance of the contract (Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR).

Data transfer to Zenchef

The data collected via the reservation system is transmitted to Zenchef SAS (France) and stored there on servers within the EU. Further information can be found in the Zenchef privacy policy.

6. Web Analytics and Advertising

Google Analytics

If you have given your consent, Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, is used on this website. Google Analytics uses cookies that enable an analysis of your use of the website.

With Google Analytics 4, the anonymisation of IP addresses is activated by default. Due to IP anonymisation, your IP address is truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. The information generated by the cookie is generally transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the USA. The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. You can revoke this at any time.

Google Ads (formerly AdWords)

We use the online advertising programme “Google Ads” and, within this framework, conversion tracking. When you click on an ad placed by Google, a cookie is set for conversion tracking. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If you visit certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognise that you clicked on the ad and were redirected to this page.

Microsoft Clarity

We work with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with our website. This is done through behavioural metrics, heatmaps and session replays in order to improve and market our products and services. Website usage data is captured using first- and third-party cookies as well as other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products/services and online activity. In addition, we use this information for website optimisation, for fraud/security purposes and for advertising. For more information about how Microsoft collects and uses your data, please see the Microsoft privacy statement.

PostHog

If you have given your consent, we use PostHog, a product analytics service provided by PostHog Inc., 2261 Market Street #4008, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA. PostHog helps us understand how visitors use our website (e.g. which pages are viewed, which brochures are downloaded and which enquiries are submitted).

Only aggregated usage and event data is collected. We disable the automatic capturing of clicks and form entries (“autocapture”), session recordings, and the automatic creation of person profiles. You are not identified as an individual. No cookies are set and no data is transmitted to PostHog before you give your consent.

The data transfer to the USA is safeguarded by the certification of PostHog Inc. under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF). The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. You can revoke this at any time via our cookie settings. Further information: posthog.com/privacy.

7. Integration of Third-Party Services

Google Maps

We integrate the maps of the “Google Maps” service provided by Google on our website. The processed data may include, in particular, IP addresses and location data of users, which, however, is not collected without their consent (usually granted within the settings of their mobile devices).

Social Media (Facebook & Instagram)

We maintain online presences within social networks (Facebook, Instagram) in order to be able to communicate with the customers, prospective customers and users active there. On our website, we do not use any direct “social plugins” that transmit data to Facebook/Instagram without prompting. Instead, we use links. Data is only transmitted to the social networks when you actively click on the corresponding buttons and are redirected to the respective platform. The data protection provisions of the respective platforms apply (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.).

YouTube

We embed videos from the “YouTube” platform provided by Google. When you call up a page containing an embedded video, a connection to Google's servers is established. In doing so, the server is informed which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged in to your YouTube account, you allow YouTube to assign your browsing behaviour directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account. We use the “extended data protection mode” where possible.

8. Storage Period

We store personal data only for as long as is necessary to achieve the respective purpose or as required by the statutory retention periods (e.g. a 7-year retention obligation for tax-relevant documents in Austria). After the period has expired, the data is routinely deleted.

9. Your Rights as a Data Subject

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR): You can request information about the personal data we process about you.
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): You can request the correction of inaccurate data or the completion of the data we store about you.
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): You can request the deletion of the data we store about you (“right to be forgotten”), unless the processing is necessary to fulfil a legal obligation.
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR).
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).
  • Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Insofar as your data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests, you have the right to object to the processing.

If you wish to exercise your rights, an email is sufficient to: events@schwarz.at

In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Vienna).
